Cookie policy
What Entry stores on your device, why it is there and how you control optional measurement.
Version 1.2 · effective 21 October 2026 · version history
This policy covers app.entry.com, start.entry.com, intake.entry.com and Entry country sites on entry.com subdomains. Storage includes cookies, browser local storage, IndexedDB and app storage. Not every surface uses every item below. entry.com and apply.entry.com use the Google measurement services described below.
Your app data is not an advertising cookie
Device Vault stores encrypted files and saved facts using local device storage. It is separate from analytics and advertising preferences. Declining optional measurement does not delete your Vault or prevent you from using its local features. Clearing all site or app data can delete that library, so make an encrypted backup first.
Essential sign-in and security storage supports the service you request. Optional measurement choices do not authorize location, push notifications, file disclosure or payment. Those have separate controls.
What we use
| Purpose | What it does | Type | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session and sign-in | Keeps you signed in to your portal or staff workspace and protects against request forgery. | Essential | Session to 30 days |
| Case progress | Remembers supported intake and checkout progress. Private app chat can be limited to the current session; group chat is an online shared record. | Service storage | Depends on the flow; local drafts may expire or clear when closed |
| Device Vault | Keeps encrypted documents and facts you choose to save locally. It is not automatically synchronized. | Requested local storage | Until you delete it or the device/browser clears storage |
| Home personalization | Remembers an account/trip-scoped nickname, trip mood and cover choice on this device. | Requested preferences | Up to 90 days |
| Cookie choice | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and advertising measurement, so we do not ask again. | Essential | Until you clear it in your browser |
| Preferences | Remembers display choices such as currency and country selections. | Functional | Up to 12 months |
| Product analytics | Counts page views and funnel steps so we can see where the product fails people. | Analytics | Up to 12 months |
| Google Analytics | Measures how the sites are used: which pages are visited, how visitors move through intake and checkout, and whether a visit ends in a purchase. | Analytics | See the Google section below |
| Google Ads measurement | Measures whether a visit that started from one of our Google ads leads to a purchase, so we can see which ads work. | Advertising measurement | See the Google section below |
| Payments | Set by our payment provider inside the checkout frame to process your payment and prevent fraud. | Essential | Set by the provider |
Google Analytics and Google Ads
Entry uses Google Analytics to understand how people use our sites, and Google Ads conversion measurement to understand which of our Google ads lead to a purchase. Both are loaded through Google's tag (gtag.js) on entry.com, apply.entry.com, intake.entry.com and the Entry country sites. We use them to measure and improve our sites and our advertising. We do not sell your personal data.
With your consent, or where consent is not required, Google's tag sets these first-party cookies:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another. | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit. | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Links your visit to later actions on our sites for ad measurement. | 90 days |
| _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Stores the ad-click identifier (gclid) when you arrive from a Google ad. | 90 days |
| _gcl_gb | Google Ads | Stores the ad-click identifier used for some app and iOS ad traffic. | 90 days |
When you arrive from a Google ad, the link carries a click identifier (gclid, gbraid or wbraid). We also keep that identifier in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days, because a purchase is completed after a round trip to our payment provider and the original link is gone by then. On intake.entry.com it is kept when you arrive; on the Entry country sites it is kept only after you accept analytics and advertising measurement, or where consent is not required. When a payment is confirmed, we send Google one conversion for that order, with the order reference, the amount, the service purchased and, where we have it, the click identifier. Each order is counted once.
On some of our checkout pages, and only when advertising measurement is on for you, the conversion can also include your email address, phone number and name. Google's tag encodes them in your browser with a one-way hash before they are sent, so Google can match the purchase to an ad click without receiving the readable details (Google calls this enhanced conversions).
Google also sets and reads its own cookies on Google domains, and processes the information it receives under its own policies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Consent and Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode. Every Google measurement signal starts as denied, and it only changes to granted when you accept or where consent is not required. How that works depends on where you are:
- In the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, in some other regions, and wherever we cannot tell your region, you see a cookie banner. No Google Analytics or Google Ads cookies are set until you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, none are set.
- On the Entry country sites, in those regions no request is made to Google at all until you choose Accept.
- On intake.entry.com, Google's tag loads for every visitor with all signals denied. While they are denied, the tag sets and reads no analytics or advertising cookies, but it can still send Google cookieless measurement signals (for example, that a page was viewed), with ad identifiers removed. Any ad-click identifier in the link is carried between our own pages in the URL instead of a cookie.
- In other regions, such as the United States, Canada, Brazil, India and Australia, analytics and advertising measurement are on by default and no banner is shown. You can turn them off as described below.
What we do not do
Entry does not sell browsing data. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure how our sites and our own ads perform; we do not place other companies' advertising on our sites. We do not use the details you give us for your application, such as passport, immigration, criminal-history or health information, for advertising.
Your choices
Essential storage cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in and case progress. Analytics and advertising measurement can be refused:
- Decline in the cookie banner where it is shown.
- Use Cookie settings in the Intake footer, or Cookie preferences on the Entry country sites, to change your choice at any time. Decline withdraws analytics and advertising consent without deleting your application progress.
- Send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. If you have not made a choice in the banner, we treat the signal as a decline.
- Install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Google uses your data for ads in Google's ad settings.
- Clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. You may be signed out, and saved intake progress and the local Device Vault may be lost. Export an encrypted Vault backup first.
